About the Artist:

My name is Laila Byrd, and I’m a multifaceted artist from New York. I’m currently studying Fine Arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology; however, in my personal work, I depict my own experiences, usually aiming to convey the emotion behind them rather than a literal depiction. I enjoy using oil paint, clay and creating mixed media artworks.

The world around me constantly inspires me, and I do my best to capture its beauty while incorporating storytelling into every piece, no matter how small or large the project.

Art means the world to me; the world and its people inspire me most.
